Our friends at Newcastle Hunter Trailer Yacht Association (NHTYA) have contacted us about the trailer sailer category at the Sail Port Stephens Regatta.
Last year Sail Port Stephens offered NHTYA a trial special offer inner harbor event of a casual trailer sailer race at a hugely discounted price. Their aim is to get trailer sailers involved, and hopefully get some to migrate up to the full entrance fee of $350 for the full week of events. They have come back again this year for another trial of a special offer of 2 days casual trailer sailer races for $50, again hugely discounted! Details are provided by NHTYA in the attachment on the link below. If anyone would like to join them and participate in the event then please contact the event coordinators as noted in the FAQ document attached. Note - any Careel members wishing to attend may claim the mileage subsidy as advertised in the March Newsletter issued recently.

REMINDER, this event is this coming weekend 9-10/4.
Our friends at NHTYA advise that
the $50 fee has been waived this year, however we still get a skippers pack, can attend the social events Friday and Saturday, and briefings etc. The organisers are keen for us to be there.
This is a great event and I recommend it AND it’s relatively local, only a couple of hours north of Sydney on one of the best waterways you can get.
