The Careel 18

The Careel 18 Mark 3 began production in August 1984. It provided an additional 2 inches of headroom over the Mark 2 and a double layer hull with embedded flotation. It continued the heavier cast iron center board and hydraulic lifting mechanism that had been developed in the Mark 2. The 38 boats built were the culmination of the Careel experience and often favoured by the serious cruisers among the fleet.
