Lake Macquarie 2006

Being new here may some supply me some breif details the format of the easter cruise might be, I live in Cairns and think it would be worthwhile to come down .. but as it is also the school holidays it would be nice to bring the crew mwmbers for a sail. for a week. as two of the crew menbers have four legs each, I am aware some areas are closed to animals in national parks, no matter how good your poochy may be have .. and is the camping from one base or just sailing around?

Is there a good reason for this landing in "Complaints/Bugs/Requests"?

You might want to go again, but this time in "General Discussion".

Hiya Pawprint,

Is that your tongue? What do you use it for??

The easter cruise... in Sydney? Or Brisbane?? You'd have to be pretty keen to join the Sydney cruise wouldn't you? But from Cairns, I guess it's not that much further

The Sydney cruise will be at Wangi Wangi on Lake Macquarie and is not in a national park (although there is a state recreation area there). So pets shouldn't be a drama. The cruise runs in conjunction with the C22 nationals. The format will probably centre around hanging about and watching the races. I'm sure a dinner will be organised, probably for the Saturday evening for those wanting to attend.

Just a note that real Pawprints are not allowed in the Myall Lakes National Park, so with dog you wuould not be able to go into this magnificent area. Big fuss quite a few years back when one Careeler took a rat dog on the Myall cruise and a large goanna tried to have it for lunch. Rat dog owner affronted but dog should not have been there and goanna should. No angst over this posting in this section but it would get better response if moved over to the general section. Saltyseadog may well do this.
