Hi all, new to the career family and purchased a career 18 number 246 at Christmas, I call myself a novice sailer and have been sailing a heron for 10 years but wanted to do some cruising and camping and a careel is the perfect fit for me. I live at Loftus in southern Sydney and sail mostly on Botany Bay and Port Hacking. Can't wait to get out there a learn more about these great boats.

Cheers Paul

Welcome to the world of Careeling Paul. You should find the 18 to be a great little boat for exploring the waterways around Sydney and beyond. Consider joining the association. Not only is it free for the first year but you can also meet a great bunch of like minded people and see (and steal) their ideas for setting up the boat.

You'll enjoy the 18 for your said purposes Paul.
You've got to be far more than a novice sailer if you've been sailing a Heron for 10 yrs.
Besides an 18, I've a couple of Herons here at home (an 8 & 10 series boats) but am/have searched thru the assoc. particularly for 3925 which I hope to locate & discover that it is not now landfill.
Don.
