Newbie to sailing

Postby Ronandju » Tue Mar 03, 2015 7:55 pm

Hi All, new to this, have just bought a 22 and am doing it up, halfway thru the trailer, keels off and at the sandblaster, made up a new horn, will check for any wear and tear on the keel case. Next step will be to learn how to sail, just have one question, how do you find out the boat number, when there are no plates even in the rear lockers, the boat used to be at the southport naval cadets on the Gold Coast. The amount of information on this site is extremely helpfull, keep up the good work, next have to learn how to sail

Kind Regards
Ron

Hi Ron and welcome to the site. Especially so when you mention you're able to do all this stuff to 22s and trailers. You could be the new go-to man in the north! 8)

Does the boat have a name? Is there a C22 logo and number on the mainsail? The latter is usually pretty reliable although there's no guarantee that the sail didn't come from some other boat. We might be able to track it back from those bits of info.
