Re: C18 Trailer tilt release / engage

Emu, just sent number of photo's of part out of mount with ruler next to for sizing.
B2B looks increasingly difficult for me but, not given up hope yet. May even be a last minute entry.

G/day Emu,
I'll take some shots & send to your phone the different mechanisms on the various trailers that I've got here for your consideration.

Re: 50th MPONR

No PD, not alone of course & in my case that was a good thing as around 5am I managed my first (that I can remember) MOB situation. Yep,, slipped a beauty,, as I thought in the very light conditions I'd leave the steering for a moment & race up onto cab top to break down the pole for differe...

Re: 50th MPONR

Thanks Dr Dandy for the photo's. No you didn't disturb the peace (Rob was half awake in cab) & that passed over carefully from boat to boat in the wee hours Pancake with the syrup plus raspberries went down well. As said, one day I knew I'd get to taste some of your delights & Robyn also enj...

Re: 50th MPONR

Hope the B2B ain't a bridge to far for me this year as Pink B..z (which is now white top with light grey hull & a beautiful boat) wants to stutt its stuff before being sold off to a caring owner after the total rebuild/refit. Tassie, oh yeah,,, it's on my bucket list (as is Whitsunday's & se...

Re: 50th MPONR

No telling yet of final numbers for this event however, the entry figure is well up (more than double) on what it was for the same period last year. There were 68 entries received 2 weeks out from the event 12 mths ago. Currently there are 145 nominated. The final figure will certainly be well short...

Re: C 22 Keel Removal

Col, Of course you can also gain extra roominess inside a C18 that has a fixed keel but, as mentioned above the towing of the boat about will be an issue unless you have a special trailer that you will have to well sink at ramps. Also consider if there is no keel or centreboard case then you have no...

Re: 50th MPONR

BTW,, people it's not to late to have your boat prepped & readied for this event yet. Careels don't require to much extra to comply for this events race rules & you'll be glad for the sensible extra anyway. So get that entry in pronto if you have a mind & gain your race number. If not wi...

Re: 50th MPONR

Well John, the numbers are slowly growing it would seem. There are a few C18 & 22's there at present in Div A, which currently shows 43 entries. I just checked updated Entry list on http://www.mponr.com & obviously there are more to be included. Your entry for example, is not yet appearing o...

Re: C18 Lines and sliding hatches

Hi John. Yes, there would be & are plenty of suitably qualified around the Sydney region that can install a slide hatch & fit other required by you. Whoever does the work/s (even could be Old Vern) needs to make sure that matters are addressed & also strengthened appropriately especially...

Re: C18 Lines and sliding hatches

G/day Pigsy, I can well & truly understand your want & need for running adjustable lines back to the outside rear top of cab on an 18 where especially a slide hatch exists. May I ask however, what to you best intend to do with the boat, for eg, either cruise, race or bit of both ? Do you wan...
