Hi all,
I need to replace a turn buckle and would like to have an original to match the the others, any one know if these are still available, have had no luck so far, it is 1/4 in with two stars on the brace, if not I will have to use ronstan or similar.

thanks Don the idea of a dagger board rudder is sounding more appealing, I will add the clamp idea and with the larger rope see how that goes, I have a cal 14 which has the same issues but with the cal when that happens you can still manually push or pull the rudder to drop or raise, on the careel i...

thanks for that info, I have found the rudder diagram on this site and found that 6mm rope is standard, mine is running 4mm, I have changed the rope size to 6mm this should help,also on further investigation the cleats are placed to the edge of the tiller which tend to pull the rope slightly off cen...

rudder downhaul C18

Hi all,
when using the rudder downhaul the rope has a tendency to slide off the rudder between the housing and rudder and jamming the rudder quite well, anyone have a solution to rectify this.

thanks for that info, It's good to know I have not missed something, as it was the first sail in a careel in little to no wind with no pressure on the outhaul I was assuming that with some pressure on the foot it probably would be ok, I have had a response from tsp another careel owner used a v jam ...
